Pocono Mountain Lake Forest Community Association

The Recreation Committee hosted an ice cream social June 12th. The children and parents that attended enjoyed making sundaes and meeting each other. The kids volunteered what activities they wanted this summer, some asking for a movie night, others wanting a teen night and crafts and others asking if they could use the pool table and games in back room. Special thanks to Cathy Jauch for taking the lead with recreation but we can’t do it alone so please consider joining in and helping so we can continue to offer these functions for you and your family. In the future, we hope to offer line dancing classes, painting classes, knitting classes, craft night, card game night, covered dish BBQ”S but all of this requires help, so please consider joining this committee. Another committee looking for volunteers is the By Law Committee. Those that want to see changes in the future to your by-laws need to get involved.

The Beautification Committee hosted the “Clean up Your Community” event funded by a free grant received from Penn DOT. Special thanks to Kathy Moran, for coordinating this and for all that came out that day! We can apply for other grants but unfortunately most all grants require financial budget/financial audits and financial statements, all of which we are lacking. As soon as we get these in place, we will actively seek grants to better this community. We will look to do another Clean Up in the fall.

Please join one of the committees formed. Without you we wouldn’t be where we are now but we need to continue to get more people on committees so please consider joining to help make a difference.
